NARRATORS

In this blog entry I will introduce you to my narrators and give reasons to prove how valuable are for my project. According to my theme I’ve looked for narrators whom fit perfectly into the profile. Thus, both of them are well known because they are relatives of mine, so I can guarantee their contribution as reliable. First of them is my aunt Carmen Sánchez and the second one is my father Hugo Vega.

CARMEN SANCHEZ is a peruvian that has been in Madrid since March 1985. Therefore, she lives for 30 years different personal situations, events, anecdotes and has several information that enrich our oral history. In my family she was the first person coming to Madrid and also she was part of the first massive immigration movement. About work activity she has worked in different kind of business like being babysitter, housekeeper, dressmaker and many fashion-related jobs. Furthermore, she share both nationality: Peruvian and Spanish, after a lot of effort. Nowadays she spend their time trying to run their own business as a fashion designer.

HUGO VEGA was born in Peru and he has been in Madrid since 2002. During this 13 years he has accomplished several personal goals as bringing their family with him. His work activity has allowed him to be part of many cultural crashing situations and aware of different realities. He has worked as a builder, driver, internal housekeeper, majordomo. Furthermore, besides of being Peruvian, he is Spanish since a long time ago and without so many difficulties. Nowadays and for many years he is majordomo from a rich family.



Since I have been living in Madrid for almost 9 years I caan also supplement information on this topic as my condition of foreigner.
